anybody see ~hellboy~?

it got a 71% overall on rotten tomatoes+ which isn't horrible -- but is lower than I'd like to have found. i went back and checked on the matrix and that did like 83% when it came out. oh well, guess greatness does only come around every twenty years or so.

did you hear? jack black in king kong? seems pretty fun. maybe jack could do the title track too. kind of like blue oyster cult's godzilla. peter jackson did use a BOC song at the end of the frighteners ~ so he is a fan. i love jack, i think he's perfect casting. i would like to have seen someone sexier than naomi watts. gimme uma or even kate winslet (he used her in heavenly creatures). but, i think he really should have used liv tyler. i'm telling you ~ the woman would look good opposite a primate. i mean, look at her dad - he's totally regressing into chimpdom. plus, she's so very sexy and plays helpless yet, gutsy...

however, the perfect modern day fay wray could never actually play the part unless it were a reality kong - because she could never be expected to act. but, if there were a real gorilla, the perfect damsel would be...
